AF Glazed Pecans (Print)

Crispy nuts coated with maple, brown sugar and cinnamon, wonderfully browned in your air fryer for a habit-forming treat.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons white sugar
02 - 1/2 cup brown sugar
03 - 1 large egg white
04 - 1 tablespoon maple syrup
05 - 2 tablespoons melted butter
06 - 2 cups pecan halves
07 - 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
08 - A pinch of salt, as preferred

# Steps:

01 - Toss the pecan halves into a medium bowl and set them aside.
02 - Warm up the butter with the maple syrup on the stove or in the microwave until the butter is fully melted. Drizzle over the pecans and give a good mix so they’re coated.
03 - Using a whisk or hand mixer, beat the egg white in a separate bowl. Stop when it turns foamy and soft peaks just start to show.
04 - Carefully fold the fluffy egg white into your pecans, coating everything gently.
05 - Stir together the ground cinnamon, white sugar, and brown sugar. Sprinkle everything over your coated pecans and mix well.
06 - Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 4 minutes. Lay parchment paper in the basket, then spread the pecans out so they’re in a single layer.
07 - Cook the pecans in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5 to 7 minutes. Give them a stir every couple of minutes. Keep cooking until they’re no longer wet but still slightly sticky.
08 - Move the warm pecans onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Lightly sprinkle them with salt if you’d like. Leave them to cool and dry for at least half an hour.
09 - Once the pecans are completely cool, place them in an airtight container to keep them fresh.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Don’t preheat an empty air fryer with parchment paper—it could get stuck in the heating unit.
02 - Store pecans in a resealable bag or airtight container at room temperature, and they’ll stay good for about a month.
