Elegant Blue Cheese Stuffed Pears (Print)

Juicy pears filled with blue cheese, walnuts, honey, and herbs for a sophisticated appetizer or snack.

# Ingredients:

→ Pears

01 - 4 ripe pears, halved lengthwise and cored

→ Cheese Filling

02 - 120 grams blue cheese, crumbled
03 - 28 grams walnuts, chopped and toasted
04 - 1 tablespoon honey, plus extra for drizzling

→ Seasoning and Garnish

05 - 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
02 - Slice the pears in half lengthwise and remove the cores using a melon baller or spoon. Arrange the pear halves cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled blue cheese, toasted chopped walnuts, and 1 tablespoon honey. Stir until the mixture is fully blended.
04 - Spoon the cheese mixture into the center of each pear half, gently pressing to pack the filling.
05 - Drizzle balsamic vinegar over the filled pears and sprinkle with ground black pepper. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the pears are tender and the cheese is bubbling.
06 - Remove the pears from the oven. Drizzle with extra honey and garnish each half with fresh thyme sprigs. Serve warm.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Select pears that are ripe yet still firm for optimal texture. Adding a few crumbles of goat cheese can deepen the flavor of the filling. This dish can be served warm or chilled.
