04 - 30 millilitres honey or 27 grams brown sugar
05 - 2.5 millilitres ground cinnamon
06 - 2.5 millilitres apple pie spice

→ Topping

07 - 60 grams pecans, crushed
08 - 90 millilitres caramel sauce
09 - Powdered sugar, for dusting

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Cut thawed puff pastry sheet into 6 equal rectangles and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - Combine softened butter, honey (or brown sugar), ground cinnamon, and apple pie spice in a bowl and blend until smooth.
04 - Spread approximately one tablespoon of the honey cinnamon butter mixture evenly onto each pastry rectangle.
05 - Layer thin apple slices over the buttered pastry, overlapping slightly as needed.
06 - Bake for 30 minutes or until the puff pastry is crisp and golden brown.
07 - After removing from oven, sprinkle tarts with crushed pecans and drizzle with caramel sauce. Optionally, dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - To prevent apples from browning, soak the slices in a mixture of one to two tablespoons of lemon juice and 500 millilitres of water for five minutes, then drain and rinse before using.
