Caramel Frosting 5 Steps Bliss (Print)

Smooth, buttery caramel frosting spreads easily over cakes and cupcakes for a decadent touch.

# Ingredients:

01 - 227 g unsalted butter, softened
02 - 240 g powdered sugar
03 - 120 ml caramel sauce
04 - 5 ml vanilla extract
05 - 1.25 ml fine salt

# Steps:

01 - Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat the softened unsalted butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
02 - Gradually add the powdered sugar in batches, mixing thoroughly after each addition until fully blended and smooth.
03 - Pour in the caramel sauce and vanilla extract, then beat on medium speed until the mixture is well combined.
04 - Add the salt. Whip the frosting on high speed until light and airy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
05 - If a firmer texture is preferred, blend in additional powdered sugar. Spread or pipe onto completely cooled cupcakes or cake as desired.

01 - Homemade or high-quality store-bought caramel sauce both yield excellent flavor.
02 - Prepared frosting can be refrigerated for up to seven days; allow it to return to room temperature and re-whip before use.
