Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface and cut into 7.5 x 7.5 cm squares.

Place marinara sauce, chopped pepperoni, and shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough square.

Fold each square into a ball, sealing edges securely to enclose the filling.

Place dough balls seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. Brush with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic powder, grated Parmesan, and optional red pepper flakes evenly over the top.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Allow to cool slightly, garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired, and serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
