Cold Strawberry Yogurt Blend (Print)

A cool summer starter mixing juicy strawberries, Greek yogurt and mint into a sweet, tangy chilled treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Key Components

01 - 3 cups strawberries, cleaned with tops removed
02 - 6-8 mint leaves, fresh
03 - 1 cup milk (full fat)
04 - 2/3 cup Greek yogurt (2% or full fat)
05 - 1/4 cup juice from oranges
06 - 3 tablespoons syrup from maple trees
07 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
08 - 1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
09 - 1/2 teaspoon salt (kosher type)
10 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

→ Toppings

11 - 1 tablespoon diced strawberries for each bowl
12 - Mint leaves cut into thin strips
13 - Black pepper ground fresh on top
14 - A splash of heavy cream or warmed up yogurt
15 - 1 tablespoon bourbon for each serving (if you want)

# Steps:

01 - Throw strawberries, mint, milk, yogurt, orange juice, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and pepper into your blender. Run it until everything's smooth and thick, which takes about 2-3 minutes.
02 - Pour the mixture into a container with a lid and stick it in the fridge for 2-3 hours until it's totally cold.
03 - Pour the cold soup into bowls. Top each one with chopped strawberries, thin mint slices, a bit of black pepper, and some swirled cream or yogurt. Pour in bourbon if you're feeling fancy.

# Additional Notes:

01 - This soup isn't cooked so it won't last long. Keep it cold and eat it within 2 days.
02 - You might need more or less sweetener depending on how sweet your strawberries are. Brown sugar works great instead of maple syrup.
03 - The black pepper makes the strawberry taste pop and brings out their sweetness - don't leave it out.
