In a large bowl, beat softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Gradually blend in dry mixture.

Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips and M&M's until evenly distributed.

Scoop dough onto baking sheets spacing each mound approximately 5 cm apart.

Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges turn golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
