Garlic Butter Lettuce Tomato Chicken (Print)

# Ingredients:

→ Bread

01 - 8 slices thick-cut gluten-free bread

→ Garlic Butter

02 - 120 g unsalted butter, softened
03 - 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
04 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
05 - 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

→ Chicken

06 - 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
07 - Olive oil, for brushing
08 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

09 - 1-2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
10 - Green leaf or Romaine lettuce leaves
11 - Mayonnaise, for spreading

12 - Cheddar, provolone, or Swiss cheese slices

# Steps:

01 - Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Pat chicken breasts dry and brush with olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper. Grill for 5–6 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 75°C. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
02 - Mix softened butter, minced garlic, dried Italian herbs, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Stir until fully combined and aromatic.
03 - Spread a generous layer of garlic butter on one side of each bread slice. Heat a skillet over medium heat and toast bread slices, buttered side down, for 2–3 minutes until golden and crisp.
04 - Wash and dry lettuce leaves. Slice tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Prepare cheese slices and/or avocado, if using.
05 - Spread mayonnaise on the untoasted side of each bread slice. Top with lettuce, tomato, and sliced grilled chicken. Add optional cheese or avocado. Place another bread slice on top, toasted side outward. Press gently and slice in half.
