Trim off the rough ends and rinse the asparagus well.

Melt butter slowly in a little pan over low heat. Stir in the garlic and let it cook a bit until you can smell it. Take it off the burner.

Set the grill to medium-high and let it get nice and hot.

Spread some olive oil onto the asparagus and sprinkle on some salt and pepper.

Lay the asparagus on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping them now and then. You’re looking for grill marks and soft stems.

Take the asparagus off the grill, place it on a plate or tray, and pour that buttery garlic goodness over it.
