Asparagus Garlic Grill (Print)

Fire-touched asparagus topped with tasty garlic butter—a basic yet fancy side for any dinner.

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cloves of garlic, chopped up small
02 - 4 tablespoons of butter, unsalted
03 - A bunch of fresh asparagus, ends cut off
04 - Salt and pepper as needed
05 - Brushable olive oil

# Steps:

01 - Trim off the rough ends and rinse the asparagus well.
02 - Melt butter slowly in a little pan over low heat. Stir in the garlic and let it cook a bit until you can smell it. Take it off the burner.
03 - Set the grill to medium-high and let it get nice and hot.
04 - Spread some olive oil onto the asparagus and sprinkle on some salt and pepper.
05 - Lay the asparagus on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes, flipping them now and then. You’re looking for grill marks and soft stems.
06 - Take the asparagus off the grill, place it on a plate or tray, and pour that buttery garlic goodness over it.
07 - Pair this garlicky asparagus with your main dish and dig in!

# Additional Notes:

01 - Add a twist: Grated cheese, lemon zest, or spicy red pepper flakes give it extra kick.
02 - Check doneness: Poke an asparagus spear with a fork. It should be soft but not falling apart.
03 - Handy tools: Tongs with long handles make flipping the asparagus safe and simple.
