Rinse and pat dry the country style pork ribs, trimming any excess fat.

Heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté sliced onions until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook until golden, approximately 3 minutes.

In a bowl, blend barbecue sauce with honey, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until fully incorporated.

Place the sautéed onions evenly at the base of the slow cooker. Arrange the ribs on top and pour the sauce mixture over them.

Cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours or on high setting for 3 to 4 hours, until ribs are tender and easily shredded with a fork.

Transfer ribs to serving plates and drizzle with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
