# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 medium onion, chopped small
02 - 1 pound steak, sliced into small chunks
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
05 - 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
06 - 2 cups beef broth
07 - Salt, as needed
08 - 1 teaspoon paprika
09 - Pepper, as needed
10 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
11 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
12 - 2 tablespoons parsley, freshly chopped

# Steps:

01 - Warm up the olive oil in a big skillet over medium heat. Toss in the steak chunks and cook them until they’re browned all over. Take them out of the skillet and set aside.
02 - Throw the diced onion into the same skillet, cooking it for about 5 minutes until it softens and turns a little clear. Stir in the garlic and cook for a minute, just until it smells nice.
03 - Add the rice to the skillet along with the beef broth, thyme, and paprika. Let it heat up and reach a boil.
04 - Turn the heat down low, cover it up, and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes. The rice should soak up the liquid and become tender.
05 - Toss the cooked steak back in, sprinkle on the cheese, and mix until the cheese melts and everything’s well blended.
06 - Taste and adjust with salt and pepper as needed. Garnish with fresh parsley before digging in.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Swap the steak with ground chicken or beef if you’d like a different option. Bell peppers or mushrooms can add a fun twist, and if you enjoy heat, toss in diced jalapeños or some red pepper flakes.
