In a small pot, bring water to a boil. Add the sugar and stir until fully dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.

Place the cooled syrup, prepared strawberries, and lime juice in a blender. Blend until completely smooth and no pieces remain.

Transfer the blended mixture to a large jug or pitcher. Pour in the cold water and mix thoroughly. Taste, and adjust sweetness or acidity with additional sugar or lime juice to your preference.

Add ice to serving glasses and fill with the limeade. Optionally, garnish each glass with sliced strawberries or lime wedges.

For an individual portion, combine 90 ml of the strawberry-lime mixture with 80 ml cold water, then serve over ice.
