Buffalo Chicken Blue Cheese Pizza (Print)

Spicy buffalo chicken, creamy blue cheese, zesty banana peppers, and mozzarella melt on a golden crust.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 1.5 cups (about 225g) shredded cooked chicken
02 - 80 ml buffalo sauce, plus additional for drizzling
03 - 60 ml blue cheese dressing, divided (can substitute ranch dressing)
04 - 450 g pizza dough, room temperature
05 - 120 ml pizza sauce
06 - 165 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
07 - 35 g red onion, thinly sliced
08 - 35 g banana pepper rings, patted dry

→ Garlic Butter Parmesan Crust

09 - 15 g unsalted butter, melted
10 - 5 g Parmesan cheese, finely grated
11 - 0.5 g garlic powder

→ To Garnish

12 - Chives or green onions, finely sliced
13 - Red pepper flakes
14 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 232°C. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven during preheating for even cooking and a crisp crust.
02 - In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and 1 tablespoon of blue cheese dressing. Allow to marinate while preparing other ingredients.
03 - Stretch or roll the pizza dough onto a lightly greased 30-cm pizza pan or stone. Poke holes across the surface with a fork to prevent bubbling.
04 - Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough. Sprinkle most of the mozzarella cheese. Distribute the buffalo chicken mixture, red onions, and banana pepper rings. Top with remaining mozzarella.
05 - Drizzle 3 tablespoons of blue cheese dressing and 1–2 tablespoons of buffalo sauce across the toppings.
06 - Bake for 13 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is beginning to set.
07 - In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder.
08 - Remove pizza from oven. Brush the butter-Parmesan mixture onto the exposed pizza crust. Return to oven and bake for an additional 2–3 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
09 - Sprinkle with chives or green onions, red pepper flakes, and freshly chopped parsley. Slice into portions and serve immediately.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For the best melt and texture, use low-moisture whole milk mozzarella shredded from a block.
02 - Marie's Chunky Blue Cheese or your preferred refrigerated blue cheese dressing is recommended for enhanced flavour.
03 - Store-bought pizza dough offers convenience but homemade options can provide a chewier crust.
04 - Do not use fresh mozzarella; its moisture content can make the crust soggy.
