Mini Strawberry Basil Galette (Print)

Golden galette filled with ripe strawberries and basil. Bursting with sweet and savory summer flavors.

# Ingredients:

→ Fruit Filling

01 - 250 g fresh strawberries, quartered
02 - 10 g fresh basil leaves, torn
03 - 25 g granulated sugar
04 - 5 ml vanilla extract

→ Pastry and Topping

05 - 1 pre-made pie crust (approximately 30 cm in diameter)
06 - 15 ml melted butter, for brushing
07 - Additional granulated sugar, for sprinkling

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 200°C to preheat.
02 - In a large bowl, combine the quartered strawberries, torn basil leaves, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Gently toss until evenly coated.
03 - On a lightly floured surface, roll the pre-made pie crust into a rough 30 cm circle.
04 - Place the rolled dough onto a parchment-lined baking tray. Mound the strawberry-basil filling in the center, leaving a 5 cm border around the edges.
05 - Fold the pastry edges over the filling, pleating as needed to create a rustic border. Brush the crust with melted butter and sprinkle with additional sugar.
06 - Transfer to the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
07 - Allow the galette to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

01 - For best results, select ripe, fragrant strawberries and fresh basil for a vibrant flavor contrast.
